“We booked the ticket giving us a 3 day pass to access the dome, cathedral, bell tower, baptistry and museum, well worth it I think. Of all those attractions the only free to enter is to the cathedral but you must join the queue which can snake around the cathedral, with the ticket you enter separately with minor queueing. The dome was by far the highlight, the 463 steps was arduous but the views inward from the base of the dome and outward from the top of the dome made it worth it, spectacular panoramic views of Florence and the Tuscany hills.
